Fencing fish and I ventured out to Cape Ann to do an after work dusk dive. We initially checked out Folly but it was blown out and didn't look worth going in. Surprising as the winds were light and from NE. We then went to Old Garden and it too looked choppy. We then checked out Pebble which is usually divable. Sure enough, it looked worth suiting up. It was encouraging to see a van full of divers already in the water as we arrived.

We ventured towards the "reef" and headed towards right parallel to the shore. I say the vis was 10-15 feet. We had a 71 min bottom time and 29 fsw max depth. The water temp was 57 degrees through out the dive. We saw plenty of keeper sized bugs, flounder and many jueveniles but not much in terms of other fish. It was a tad "surgy" on the bottom with sea weed moving along the waves. Sort of makes me queezy uw. :vomit:

Of all the diving I have done on Cape Ann, it was my first dive at Pebble so glad I dove it. On a clear night, full moon and calm water, I imagine it has to be a cool night dive.

Though sunny today, it's looking windy out there so hoping things settle down soon as would like to get out again when "Summer" comes back. This has been the most bizarre summer with cool temps, rain, thunderstorms. I can say I miss the humidity, dead calm seas, with mosquitos, gnats, black flies..

Nice... I was a part of that group of divers in the van.

We did a twilight dive and a night dive. Only one person in our group was really looking for lobster but got 3 keepers.

We saw the lights under as we were getting out of our gear. It looked like a good lobster spot but I noticed a lot of 1 clawed lobsters and lose claws on the floor. I guess a tough area for lobster fights! Can't they all get along!

If they dont get along we will have to separate them ;-) From there tails LOL
