I own 2 BCs, ( a Libra and a basic Tusa) and neither is just right. At my age, this may be the last BD I am going to buy, so I would like it to be just perfect and hope you all can help.
So far, best "fit", on land, is the Pearl, as it fits snugly enough and doesn't rise when you pull on the shoulders.
Zeagle was OK too, but the weight release was a concern. As I live on an island with no scuba dealership, trying one out is not an option, so the opinions posted here matter a lot to me.
I need something that fulfils the following criteria:
1. more than average lift as I dive in rough waters and often have to wait quite a while for fishermen's boat to spot and pick me up. Back inflatable (with integrated weights) tends to tilt me forward.
2. ability to remove weights and hand them up to the boat driver. Zeagle seems to just pop out of the bottom making it difficult to catch.
3. A double strap as insurance against tank slipping off. My Libra has a single strap and it once slipped off as I was assisting another diver. Not fun.
4. A lift handle so equipment can easily be lifted over the side of a boat.
5. Streamlined, but with enough accessible pockets for easy access to lights and safety signalling device.
6. Durable: Pearl inflator knob has me worried that it is one more thing that might catch and break as equipment is hauled onto the boat.
7. Weight integrated would be nice, but is not critical
