I have read the posts and articles on Paxil as it relates to depression, but cannot find any reference to its effects when prescribed for syncope.

I have suffered a single incident of syncope, and when given the 'tilt table' test I passed out when given nitroglycrine. I was prescribed 20mg/day of Paxil, and have no honest idea as to why, nor can I find any reference to Paxil and syncope.

Can anyone give me any idea as to the risks if diving on Paxil when -not- diagnosed with depression? I have the question in to my prescribing physician, but have not received an answer as yet. My 200th dive is this weekend (I hope)
