Has anyone been out with Paradise Charters "Easy Goin" out of Ft. Lauderdale in the last couple of years? How was it? Would you recommend them?

I have not seen a post on that operation here for several years.

At one time the entire operation was listed as for sale.
I don't know if it was sold or any other status as to their business.

They've been back in business since 2009 I think. http://www.paradisecharters.com I talked to the Captain last week. Just wondering if anyone had been out with them since they bought the boat.

A friend of mine at work just got back from a week in the Bahamas. Pictures she posted on facebook looked great. I have not had a chance to find out how everything went. Will try and get a hold of her asap :)

Ah, the Easy Goin... That brings back memories. I was on her a few years ago when Chuck was still the owner and captain, and it was one of my more memorable dive trips. The boat is nicely set up for a small group of divers, although the cabins are pretty cramped and the mattresses on the bunks seemed to be made out of tissue paper. (THIN tissue paper!) We weren't full, so I was able to steal another mattress from an empty bunk and put it on top and this helped some, but still! Perhaps the new owners have dealt with this issue? Oh well, it was still a great trip. We would sit up well into the night and trade rotten jokes with Chuck, and our divemistress was nicely decorative. Not particularly efficient, but...:D I wish my data was more current, but I guess you will have to look to others for this.:coffee: Good luck- Woody

My friend has just returned from a trip on the easy goin. She said it was an awesome trip, they were very accommodating. They had a great trip with excellent dives. Only negative she said is they do not have nitrox capacity. Hope this helps.

I have been out with the new owners twice. Obviously, went back for a second time so that tells you what I think of them! Very nice people, great food, good diving, totally clean comfortable rooms.... couldn't ask for more. They don't purport to be luxury and they aren't but there was nothing I could think of I would have changed (other than aforementioned Nitrox capability). Extremely reasonably priced for what you get. Unqualified recommendation.

Sounds great! We'll probably give them a try. Thanks!
