Does anyone know when Pappadeauxs at the Houston Airport closes? Everyone seems to recommend eating there during the layover to Bonaire, so this year we're going to give it a try.

You're missing nothing. Not sure why the Houston area goes gaga over the whole set of "Pappas" chain restaurants but there's much better food available. Perhaps not in an airport, but in general, yeah.

I wouldn't sweat it. There are lots of good places to eat there. We were just there in March and thought it was still open but we never eat there. I really like to get a nice healthy big salad and several restaurants have them. That way I won't feel as guilty about all the bad eating I may be doing on vacation. :D On the way back home I do the same, I think it is Johnny Rockets or something like that.... great Asian Salad with chicken. Mmmmm. I think there is a Chilis there too which we have eaten at several times... same thing, great big salad. :D

Especially since you are heading for Bonaire, where you can get great seafood, I would eat somewhere else.

I have to agree with RJP. Frankly, I wasn't impressed with Pappadeaux. Service was painfully slow. Too expensive for the quality of food. It's kind of hard for me to get excited about food served in an airport...from a restaurant chain. Save a few bucks and pack your own food.
