Panama City Trip 8/4/06

Myself and my lovely wife, ScubaMel are going to hit the Gulf Friday in our boat "The Other Woman" who is in the driveway getting a good coat of wax (the boat, not ScubaMel). We are looking for two other divers that are interested in a two tank trip, to share expenses and boat sit (estimate $30 each). The Other Woman cruises at 25 knots, so it will run circles around the cattle boats, but if you get seasick this isn't the ride for you. Estimate leaving between 8:00 and 9:00.

Prefer that one of the divers be able to pull up anchor line with a hell of a lot of anchor chain.

Requirement: everyone that dives must either have DAN or other comparable dive insurance.

We will hit any two sites we want, most likely both offshores in around 100 feet to the sand.

If I wasnt teaching this weekend...

Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate Friday morning, so we spent half a day in protected waters. The weather finally moved out around 11:30, but the storm had moved south and picked up the seas to around three feet. One of my hood ornaments had never been on a boat before, so she got fairly seasick and we headed back in after a single solo bounce on Stage 2; guess I can get another dive out of that tank.

All the dive shops stayed in on Friday, guess I should have followed their lead.
