Yesterday we had a big party at the Panama City Jetties which apparently you all were too good to attend. In any case, we had about 20 people for the 1 year anniversery of the Tallahassee Scuba Club. We cooked, ate, chatted and of course dove. High tide was at 1pm EST which is when we got in the water, and since there were so many of us, we broke into 3 groups, with myself leading a group over the dunes to the beach side. Viz was about 20ish on that side, and no current till we hit the point where inflow was a bit noticeable. We stayed at 40ft the whole time in order to conserve air, and even though the group got lost from the flag a few times, we all survived. Viz had dropped to about 10ft or less by the time we exited, but we saw some great stuff. Temps were in the low 80s.
After some more food, we jumped back in for a snorkel, and the lagoon was quite tanic do to the tide going out, but the beach side was still pretty clear, and we saw some interesting sights, including crabs and baby seargent majors. It was a great time.
