Has anyone been on the:

Palau - Ocean Hunter I - liveaboard

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

I went on the Ocean Hunter I in May 2009 and had a fantastic time. It's a modest size boat with three guest cabins: the master (nice!) and two smaller cabins with bunks. It's nice to be on a smaller boat because you can do many dives from the mothership (though others are done from a Zodiak). The meals are done in a smallish cabin, and if you had an incompatible group among the six guests it could be a bit awkward but most divers are pretty compatible.

On one dive we saw a group drop in from the Aggressor, and it was quite a contrast to see two dozen divers in the water.

Fish n Fins is a great operation, and I really enjoyed OHI. If you want a bigger boat, also look at OH III.

I was diving with Fish & Fins in September and saw the OH I and was told by the F&F that they would offer a "deal" if we put together a group. The small size of the vessel would be great in my opinion. F&F is fantastic and I plan to dive with them again.

I have a couple clients that went out on the Ocean Hunter 1 (if that is the smaller boat) and had a spectacular time. Absolutely raved about it. I think you might just enjoy it.
