Hi, Jim!

Well, things have changed on Palau since your sortie. Burt and Jan are no longer one: she runs Neco and he runs Photo Palau (nee Splash). She is obviously the most eligible lady on island! Mayhaps she has no time to DM anymore with all the suitors hanging about?

GC was a mess throughout. As I said, it looked like an ashtray! The other sites were in fine shape. Seems the sharks and tuna have moved on to Blue Corner, Big Dropoff and Ngmcqlemelis! And there were plenty of them this year, my most recent visit.

Who said anything about senility? I am talking full blown dementia!

Jan is now no longer with Burt?

When is the next flight to Palau! :)

Ngmcqlemelis?

That's near Babalngerimglengui isn't it? ;)

I love the pronounciation of words in Palau! Who would have thought that Ngerchong would be pronounced Ner-rong?

Well things are obviously improving then... Glad to hear that. Let's just hope that there is not another bad El Nino soon that will muck things up again....

And sorry to misdiagnose your dementia as senility. Perhaps you should run for President? Certainly 2 of the last 4 have been mentally deficient. And one was a perv! I don't know how you stack up on the second criteria, but dementia should not stop you from seeking such a role!

at the far end of the isle!

Hi, Jim!

Well, I have to inform you that she already had a lot of suitors! I saw at least three gents who were in the "courting mode" when I was last on the island. As I said, she is the most eligible lady on isle!

As far as being a candidate for the Presidency, I lack at least one qualification: I am an honest person. It is very hard to be in politics and have that quality!

Take care,

Scorpionfish

Hi there 500PSI:

I checked everything I could before booking our trip to Palau. In the end we went with The Big Blue Explorer liveaboard.

We couldn't have been happier. Gourmet food, large cabins, great staff, great divemasters, and best ofall, five dives a day. I can't say enought about this boat. The boat is 167" long with two 30' chase boats to take divers to the dive sites. My wife didn't get seasick the whole week.

The diiving was the best I've ever done. Wall dives, night dives, sharks, mantas, sailfish, you name it.

All this for about half the cost of the other liveabaords in the area. You also will avoid the looooong daily chaseboat rides from the land based resorts to the dive sites (30 min to 1 hr each way) for each and every trip.

Check it out. We were glad we did.:boom:

Thanks everybody for the replies. Some good info here which will definately make the planning much easier.
