It looks like Palau for us next year. This will be our first venture outside the Carib. It will also be our 1st liveaboard.
I have read what i can find on the Agressor and the other boats in the area. I am looking for feed back. At this point the agressor looks liek the way to go, dollar for dollar. Any reason not to go that route?
We are hoping for 4-5 dives a day, fairly comfortable rooms and good food.
We were also wondering about the few 10day trips they offer and how much of a difference that makes (locations/dives per day).
Any help or first hand experiences would be great.
Thanks in advance,
E

You should also look at the Ocean Hunter boats in Palau. I went on the smaller one (only 6 guests) for a week and loved it.

I was on the Palau Aggressor this past summer. I believe we had 4 dives the first dive day, as there was not a night dive. The last day, we snorkled jellyfish lake and then had a dive at Chandelier Cave before docking. The other days we had 5 dives a day. My cabin had a comfortable bed, enough storage for two, a sink and a bathroom (shower & toilet)that worked fine. It even had a flat screen tv but, I don't think it was ever on! The chef on that trip was Marc. He's a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and must have graduated Summa Cum Laude because every thing he prepared was outstanding! I'm not a "foodie" but if Marc ever opens his own restaurant, I hope I can get a reservation!

The Agressor is great. Beatiful boat and good crew. What Shawrg said is accurate. We were there a couple years ago and are heading back in April 2010. Hopefully Herny the engineer is still working, as he was a great guy and good dive master. We have some spots left on our charter if interested. It's over the full moon so we're hoping to see the coral spawn and have big currents. I would suggest to get Nitrox certified before to maximise bottom time and safety. Bring your wide angle and lots of memory cards or laptop!
