lol

whew, I said franc...oops

but did anybody get my point?

I can't be bothered with little details.

So who opted out, just Britain?

Wait a minute, I didn't use Euros the last time in France...oh maybe I did. Those pesky little bathroom coins have caused me to blank it all out. ...maybe Sarkozy will fix that:D
UK and Denmark, I think.

ATM at the airport that accepts Cirrus/Maestro?

Cirrus is on the back of my ATM card, if that helps. I am guessing you won't have any trouble.

Thank you for your replies.
Actually, you get a better rate with cash drawn with the debit card than getting dollars in Germany (which is somehow quite a hassle with my bank), and many cheaper places do not accept credit cards (as I am considering staying on Peleliu) or there is a 5% surcharge.
Cheers,
Liberty

Since 2002, French franc in France is remplaced by euro. In Switzerland, we always use Swiss franc.

In November 2006, I was in Palau and I didn't have a problem with maestro in Bank of Guam and Bank of Hawaii.
