I would agree on Rescue.

Nitrox is also a popular option.

I'd recommend Deep Diver, DPV diver, and Cavern diver. Then you'll be all set ! :D

PS - Technically speaking, Rescue isn't a specialty course. That said I would highly reccomend it to everyone, especially those that I may someday buddy up with.

I agree with both comments. The need to take Rescue is a very important part of one's dive training. And what specialty to take is dependent on what kind of diving you are going to be doing. Nitrox as was also mentioned is a good all around course to take. Thing is that PADI offers so many of these courses. Other than that it is up to you to choose what specialty you want to take based on what kind of diving you are going to be doing most of the time.
 
I agree that the rescue course is a great course. I also recomend the navigation specialty. There is a lot more to it than learning how to use a compass, and unless you only ever plan to follow a DM, it is extreemely valuable. And done well, it is also a lot of fun.
