Next week I am schd. to finish up my PADI Rescue certf.. Can anyone tell me if there is a written final exam covering the book material, just as we had in the Open Water certf. course?????

yes, but it's pretty much common sense just like the OW was. It has a lot of facts about CPR and like on it and a few questions about what do you do in a certian situation. Its all multiple choice, so pretty easy.

shouldn't the dive shop or your instructor have told you about this before you did.. the rescue diver course.. pool, and open water sessions.. the answer to your ?'s.... IS YES..... it's outta the book work, so study up...
