I had a doubt, can we complete PADI Discover Scuba Diving and Confined water sessions of PADI Openwater Diver course on the same day ? Further If PADI Discover Scuba Diving is done in open water, does it count as Open water Dive 1 of Open water diver course.

Thanks in advance ;)

There is no reason you could not do DSD and OW in the same day. Especially if you are counting your DSD as Dive 1 of your OW.

There are three places a DSD can be conducted. There is a pool, confined water and open water. The pool or confined water dive is mandatory for DSD. This can count as your Dive 1 for OW confined water dive. There is also an optional open water DSD which can count as Dive 1 for OW open water dive.

But if you are doing your open water diver certification where you can do the open water dives as you complete the confined water dives, I can't imagine why you want to add in the DSD. There would seem to be no point.
