Got my two bags all packed up and headed to Cozumel on Saturday morning. Just two more days of hard work.

Not the usual dive gear:commerical paint sprayer and two chandeliers along with an assortment of other goodies like Rice Krispy snack bars and barbecue sauce. I'm trying to make people believe this is a working vacation.

I do miss the 70 lb. limit. I'll just have to stuff the other necessities like my mask, reel and lift bag in my oversized carryon. Thank goodness my dive gear is already at the house. Looking forward to meeting several Scubaboard folks down there.

Yup, the new 50 lbs restriction is pretty tough for divers. I hate having more then one bag. My Akona with gear and clothes, etc., for a 7-10 day trip comes in between 58 and 63 lbs (usually heavier on the way home with the not completely dry wetsuits). My next trip in Feb I'll be forced to schlep a bulky carry on instead of my usual small backpack.

All the airlines are doing with this change is crowding the cabin more then it already is. People will just max out on carry on.

Have a great trip and do try to get in some diving between the work on the house!
