OK, I know I am posting all over the place on the camera forum, but I am trying to make sure I do not make the same mistake again (buying a camera I quickly outgrow)

These two camera look very nice, although my questions is, what are the main differences between them?
WA capability and external macro lenses are a must for me.
I know the 5100 does RAW and has more megapixels, any other glaring differences (other than price!)

Scotty;

The P5100 does not do RAW, to the best of my knowledge.
The housings for the P60 may be limited or not available, as it has such a long lens length, which isn't the best underwater.

The P5100 is very popular and pretty cheap to buy now. Excellent lens. I have the Fantasea FP5100 in stock. It has a 200' depth rating, metal buckles and comes with a 1 year warranty and flood insurance.

I must have read that wrong somewhere about the raw, my bad. Why is the long lense length a bad thing?

You want to get as close to your subject as possible, A telephoto is just compressing all the water and distorting/blurring the shots. It is also very hard to house a long telephoto in P&S housing.

I see it takes 46mm external lenses. How is this different from the ikelite which takes 67mm? Are the same types of lenses available in the different sizes? Does the WA quality/fov change?
Also I currently have an Ikelite AF35 strobe (although I might up grade in the) is that compatible with your housing?

Any reason you are looking at the P5100 instead of the newer P6000? Just curious.

The 46mm diameter lenses are available in wide angle (about 105) and macro, as well as red filters, etc. They may have a dome lens out pretty soon as well.

The Ike strobe should work with it as far as I know, but I'm not an Ike dealer.

The ikelite housing does not, according to their website, allow for external lenses
