I understand that there are a few open spots left. Before sending any money I would call to make sure though!

Ozark Cave Diving Alliance
presents
Missouri Spring Diving Conference 2002

Date: Saturday, March 2, 2002
Place: Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center
11715 Cragwold, St. Louis, MO
(just west of Watson off Geyer--near 270 at 44)
Time: 8:30 am til 4:00 pm

An extended drought this fall helped cave divers in the Midwest explore new passages in crystal clear conditions. Refinement of cave diving procedures and innovative gear developments have led to safer and more comfortable dives. The OCDA would like to invite you to share another information-packed day of interactive learning at our fourth annual cave diving seminar.

We are happy to announce that George Irvine, director of the Woodville Karst Plain Project in Florida, has agreed to share his experience and ideas about safe cave diving at this event. Michael Hefele, local commercial gas expert, will talk to us about some little known facts concerning the management of oxygen, helium, and argon. A representative from the Department of Conservation or the U.S. Geological Survey will discuss topics pertinent to Ozark spring diving and conservation. A presentation by members of the OCDA will address the methods used to survey and create a 3-D map of Alley Spring in 2001. Several table displays and a short video of Alley Spring should be of interest to cave diving enthusiasts.

A $25 honorarium includes doughnuts and refreshment from 8:30 til 9 am. Admission is by pre-registration only. To eliminate confusion experienced at previous seminars, all registration must indicate the name of the registrant. No refunds or substitutions will be made. Deadline for receipt of registration is February 10, 2002. Fire code limits attendance to 75 participants. Registrations will be accepted on a "first come, first served" basis.

Honorarium check or money order payable to: Tom O’Connor
9264 Rott Rd.
