The oxygen bar in the visitor's center at the top of Pikes Peak was doing brisk business the last time I was there.

They have one up there? Shows you how long it's been since I've toured my back yard...

Roak

I think the oxygen bar thing is a crock. Medical use is when it's needed for various reasons, presumably someone going to an oxygen bar doesn't have any of those issues. Maybe at a high altitude there's something to it, but how long would the effect last after you breath 15 minutes of it?

I just saw one in Vegas that looked like it was bubbling the oxygen through tanks of colored liquid, probably an aroma thing or something. Gimmicky.

Would breathing 50-100 % the morning of a dive or eventhe day before , increase you chance of ox-tox during the dive?
It would by a microscopic amount.

In real-world terms, any increased risk would be masked by other variables.

If the dive shop knows better...... so what? The customers with the $$ don't ;)

Hence this thread....

I've got an O2 deco cylinder here. Should I pass it around at my next party? :D
