I've got the following two BP/W setups:
#1 (travel): Koplin travel backplate, STA, and Halcyon 18# Pioneer wing. No real complaints except the wing is a 'U' shape so takes some gyrations to vent the air. 18# is plenty of lift, as I probably never use more than 5# except on the surface.
#2 (cold water): Halcyon steel backplate and Halcyon 27# Pioneer wing with STA. No complaints and plenty of lift.
I'm wondering if I could use the Mach V in both of my setups and eliminate both of the Halcyon wings.
The Mach V sounds perfect for setup #2, but I'm wondering if it could also serve as my travel wing. 30# is way overkill but the wing sounds to be more compact than the Halcyon 18#.
Also, anyone know the dry weight of a Mach V? Baggage weight is always an issue when packing the dive gear for air travel.
Thanks for any comments.
