I'll take my DSS Torus over either of the above. I also own an Eclipse, and prefer the smaller profile of the Torus. I've pretty much sworn off Oxycheq products ...

Bob,
I have heard great things about there (DSS) wings but never have i seen one in person. Yea I keep on hearing bad things about oxycheq but still I thought about buying one. I am a slow learner.... If you go in the Oxycheq forum.... well....it says it all...

Despite Oxy's spotty customer service record per this forum, I'm still a huge fan of the Oxy EXTREME wings (own 4 of them). I like to own the 'best in class' on all my scuba gear, and I don't care the origin, so I'm diving Oxy wings/light socks......but Halcyon weight systems/SMBs...but I won't own lights from either company (Oxy lights = poor quality control........Halcyon lights = old/over priced technology/failure to embrace next generation LED technology) so MbSub in Germany gets all my light business (5 lights from MbSub so far), best to buy lights from companies who ONLY 'do' lights, and Germany is the world leader in optics/quality. But I'm diving DSS 'composite' BP's on all my rigs, so again, as long as it's 'best in class' I don't care where/who makes it!

Halcyon and DSS are made in the USA and Oxycheq is not from what I hear. Halcyon has the best support hands down...

+1 for DSS
Great product and great company for really cool products that work. I went from a 27 Halcyon to the 37 DSS for more lift while diving dry. Dove the tropics with this setup with no issues. The 27 was a little light when I was taking my rescue class, since it was more difficult to perform rescue breathing while towing (too low in the water).

I owned a few Oxy wings and was generally pretty happy with them. But I did have a problem with one of their other products, and when I complained about a lack of support, the company's owner told me (right here on ScubaBoard) that he wanted me to take my business elsewhere.

So I did ...

I have the Oxy Extreme and love it. The primary reason I got it was because of the puncture-proof material. Besides the punctures, I figured the material would hold up nicely to years and years of wear and tear and abuse. When I ordered it, I was having the same dilema on the amount of lift I wanted, but the width is the same and the length is only 2" longer on the 40# - and to me that was a no brainer to go with the bigger wing - although since going bp/w, I have never put any air in it other than to stay at the surface. It's still small, streamlined, sexy and extremely durable, so +1 for Oxycheck.
