OW Dive in October

I get to dive a couple times a year while on vacation and was hoping to dive when I'm in Florida the beginning of October. I only have my open water certification but am willing to travel anywhere in the state for diving. Any places to focus on or concerns to note (keeping in mind that I'm only OW certified)? Thanks in advance

Even though Florida is less than one quarter the size of your home province, it's still pretty darn big. If you've got an idea of where in Florida you plan to visit, I'd imagine that you'll get some good suggestions.

Key Largo: lots of shallow pretty and easy-to-dive reefs. Pompano also has a shallow reef line that is equally nice to dive

+1 for the Key Largo, Tavernier and Islamorada area.

what kind of diving are you looking for...beach, boat, or cavern...reef, wreck or megladon teeth...

Everybody loves the keys, but you can get just as good diving in N. Broward, Palm Beach area.
