Alright, this is going to sound like every other post on this forum in this section...but here goes. I just finished my OW cert and it was awesome. We got to dive the junk at Lake Jocassee and like everyone else I am officially hooked! To those of you that dive there regularly I'll be seeing you soon!

Congratulations! Get wet often and safely!

Pete

Way to go, Keruxts! I got my OW at Jocassee two weeks ago and also dove the junk. I've been told by a couple of dive instructors that not everyone who gets certified has actually had the experience during their certification dives of diving off a boat, much less doing a 60-foot dive. The junk is cool . . . did you see "off the wall?" It's the 150-foot-plus sheer drop right beside the junk - looks like you are looking into the abyss. I'll be back up there on Oct. 13-14 while the team dives on Attakulla Lodge and am hoping to dive the junk that afternoon. Maybe I'll see you there! :D

Congrats to both of you! Breathing underwater is an wonderful thing. Wait untill you get some awsome vis in a warm tropical place. You will kick yourself for not doing it sooner, I know I did....Dive safe.

Good job,Welcome to the great sport of diving!
Dive safe,
Brad

I agree with the suggestion that you need to do a warm, good vis dive...

If you all thought the Basic certification was fun, wait till you do the Advanced Scuba Diver certification course. Now that was a fun course with all diving and no written tests. Also, for night dives and deep dives, it was nice to do them first with an instructor and the Advanced course is where you do this. Good luck to all and happy diving!
