struggles against Bowling Green and moves up in the polls? THE OSU is THE most overrated team in the
nation. Can you believe this team received 5 first place votes. OK

Michigan

will beat THE overrated OSU but lost to Oregon. Big game for the Ducks

Kansas State

THANK GOD this team lost early. Doesn't this program have any shame? They schedule the softest non-conference schedule then complain when they're not ranked higher. Well not this year at least

While they may not be the best teamin the Nation on paper, no one has beaten them since the beginning of last season....They have the crown, and until they're beat, it is their's IMHO, and the rankings should reflect that.

Big t

Are you talking about MIAMI?

;)

well the problem is that the state school has struggled against all of their opponents this season

they lost their best player

their quarterback can not move the team down field with any consistency

on the bright side state's defense is VERY good

actaully the BCS ruined what would have been an awesome Rose Bowl, USC vs. THE state school.

USC was probably the best team last year at the and of the season

That would have been a great Rose Bowl Game

so much for tradition

U of M could seriously use two things. Some more consistancy out of Navarre would be nice (Heck, the guy from MSU seems to move his team better now that he is out of rehab and doesn't have quite the receivers or line to protect him.) And, no I am not an MSU or U of M fan. If I had gone to college, it would have been Michigan Tech for the engineering program up there without the non-academic distractions.

The other more major thing, however, would be a kicker and a punter. Just as U of M climbs back into that game Saturday, they gave up a blocked punt for a TD. They gave up another TD on special teams earlier in the game along with missing an extra point? These problems have been there for a little while, but they are finally coming to a boil. They won't be worthy of much of a ranking in my mind until they fix them.

Personally I would list U of M as overrated along with that college's team in Columbus.

As a Buckeye, even I have to agree that OSU is probably over-rated this year, but I'll have to take issue with the comment about the BCS. How could you possibly have looked for a better game than the OSU-Miami game? (Oh yeah, based on where you're from, I guess it makes sense).

ideally the BCS should run at least a 8 team playoff

it would take only 3 sets of games to determine a champion

but then the schools would have to share more of the money and why would they do that

with all the upsets this weekend its hard to say the current system is fair to non-member teams

Easy, let the kids play instead of one penalty after another. Even the news paper here (an area of FL that is by and large gator/seminole fan base) posed the question as to if Miami was penalized just for showing up... and continued to be penalized through out the game for taking the field. One sports broadcaster here philosophized after UF/Miami game that Miami is penalized to keep games intersting and not blow outs.

Over rated teams this year? Easy. UF, Georgia, Ohio, Kansas, Michigan, and Notre Dame.

Under rated: LSU, Oregon, and Northern Illinois seems to have a team that is clicking very well this year!

Notre Dame gets over-rated most years. For that matter Michigan does too. It has more to do with TV ratings than how good the teams are. Ever notice how they both are televised a lot. Follow the money man!:)

However, one game does not make or break any team IMO. I agree with Big-t, OSU stays in the top ten area until they get beat. They earned the title last year and need to be knocked down this year. Time will tell if OSU is over-rated .... personally i don't think they are.

Miami's loss had nothing to do with the other team, but rather was the result of bad officiating. I'll bet nobody's ever heard THAT before.

I think Miami played a heck of a game last year, and I suspect they'll be in the running for the Nat'l Championship again this year.

What my initial comment meant was, "I have never seen a better championship game than last year's Fiesta Bowl."

Last year's BCS game was good but I remember a Penn State vs. Miami game that was pretty good too.

But like so many things in today's life it was artificial. Not having a play-off system makes all of these "championships" mythical. We'll never know if USC could have beat Miami or Ohio State. As a USC HATER I don't like saying this but USC IMHO was the best team last year and would have crushed either Miami or THE state school due to their superior offense and equally tough defense. But we'll never know.

Scoreboard Baby!

THE state school won, Miami lost, and all USC could do was watch
