New Year greetings to one and all.

As a looong time lurker on this site I have found the discussions often helpful but always interesting. I hope to start taking a more active role in the future and giving back a little. I don't know if I can claim much wisdom to impart but I'm always willing to give my opinion. :)

Welcome and dont worry....youll see a lot more opinions here ...some prejudices too...but its the best in town so far.

And welcome to SB. :happywave Put us in your Favorites, and check in often.

This is why I like this place...

Snowbear You're farther north than I am! How thick does the ice get up there?

Diverlady I have to agree. My (divemaster) wife certainly isn't boring, and our house is never really as clean as we wish. Mind you, I don't want to imply that she is stuck doing all the housework...

I have to figure out that 'quote' thing...

I need less than 30cm for my car. How many metres you get?

Never too cold to dive if you've got a Huskvarna.
Ok, I get it now! I was thinking weed eater, lawn mower maybe a motor cycle.

Hit the "reply" button within the post you want to quote. Snip at will from there.

Never measured how many meters thick the ice gets. Zambonis, bulldozers and plow trucks drive on the lakes. Sometimes snowmachines and ice skaters fall through, though...
