Hey Guys,

I'm just giving this a try, but if anyone here knows
of a good patent lawyer, can you please let me know.

I'd rather find one that is from a referral than
looking in the yellow pages.

Thanks!

Hi Joe. I know a few patent lawyers. Are you looking to obtain a patent? Litigate?
What's your . . . uh . . . tolerance for fees?

My last company I worked for, I dealt with John Fitzgerlad of Fulwider Patton Lee & Utecht. They have two offices, LA and Long Beach. I dealt with John out of the LA office.

Here's some info on him: http://www.fulpat.com/Bio/JohnFitzgerald.asp
He has a background in the sciences and medical devices (IOLs). I work for medical device companies and he knows his stuff when discussing IOLs and insertion deivces. He may not be the one for you, but he may be able to refer you to someone else specialized in your area. He charges about $300-320/hour if I remember correctly.
If you talk to him, tell him Phil who used to work for STAAR said hello.
