Oriskany Xmas Week, Anyone?

I will be camping in the Destin area (Rocky Bayou State Park) all next week, Dec. 21-28. It would be nice to dive the Oriskany sometime that week, if conditions are right. I'm pretty much available any day, including the 25th.

Any other ScubaBoarders in that area up for it? From the All-Inclusive Oriskany Thread it looks like most of the ops going to the O are out of Pensacola, which is certainly do-able and isn't much of a drive, but are there any not listed that are closer to Destin anyone would recommend?

Since you will be out in Niceville, the Pensacola operators will be your best bet. I would much rather drive the highway to Pensacola, then make a boat trip from Destin out to the Oriskany. But, I seriously doubt if you can find anyone making the trip from Destin this time of year.

I would love to dive the "O" again. But, I don't think I will be able to go that week. I haven't checked the tides yet...but I might be able to round some people up for a Destin Jetty dive if the tides cooperate. If you have any interest in that let me know.

I am interested and able to dive 12/26 or 12/27. Keep me in the loop with what you find out regarding the 'O' and I am visiting family in Destin so the Jetties would be do able.

Guys, I just returned from Pensacola yesterday... tried desperately to get a group of divers together on 12/17, but just couldn't find any dive charters going that day.

Can't get back next week, but I'll be returning to Pensacola for work sometime in January, so if you're still looking to put together a trip then, let me know! I've got that Big O fever!
