Oriskany on her way to final site

The Mighty O left Pensacola today on her way 22 miles south. She will be prepared for sinking tomorrow and if all goes well, be sunk on Wednesday. Every dive boat in the area is full for both the sinking and the first dives on her which will be 48 hours after sinking. Divers should be swiming on flight deck by Saturday. Journalists from as far away as Australia and France are here to document the sinking. It's an exciting time to be a diver in Pensacola.
