OrcaTorch D550 is great for a primary low cost light.

This light is more than sufficiently visible (1000 lumens) at distance, and the beam angle(8 °) with the flood around the main beam is excellent for looking in sunken sailboats, wrecks, and anywhere else you might need to illuminate something.
