I bought the mk2 version of the zoomer for no other reason than I was curious, no help or incentive from anyone, bought from scuba.com so even had to pay sales tax. I have since sold my original ZD after getting back from the Thailand trip where my buddy used it having forgotten to bring one. It was handy being able to pick the lighting area you want but no real advantage presented its self on those dives.
Some shots before I sold the old ZD showing the sharper focus and whiter light from the new one,
Flood
haven’t had it in the water yet the tight beam is pretty amazing outside and shows a very tight spot for a few hundred yards. If you find yourself in a situation where you may want both a tight beam and a flood beam this could be the answer, with a single 21700 battery it won’t replace a canister light but could be a good backup.
