Hi All,

I've come to the conclusion that the bc for me is the Zeagle Ranger ltd. My lds is obscenely expensive/inflexible and is not an option. Leisure Pro currently has the bc in stock for $525, but the lack of factory warranty scares me a bit. Anyway, I've looked around, and haven't seen anyone who can do as good (or even close) price wise. Anyone have any suggestions vis-a-vis other options??

Thanks!
John

Personaly I would use Scuba toys there price is a little off at 700+ but they have always matched pricing whenever I have found it cheaper elsewhere. Not sure if there 10% discount for members would also apply but worth the try.

Bought my Ranger used $250 almost new. Do you have to have new? Lots of guys sell them here when switching to Bp/w. Scubatoys is awesome, I use some personal experiences form dealing with them as positive customer service examples.

They EITHER match, or provide the 10 percent discount.. not both... I tried once =) but I still got a good deal.. I second Scubatoys.com

Usualy a good # of them on ebay as well but if you want the warranty these options are out.

I would be more concerned about being able to get it serviced locally. I wouldn't want to send my BC back to LP for routine maintenance.

Some LDS's are weird about servicing gear not bought from them also - don't know why exactly, people move all the time and bring their gear with them, how is that any different from a regular customer bringing something in bought online?

I'd go with Divers Direct(great store in Ft. Lauderdale if you're ever in the area) or ScubaToys to get the factory warranty. Although IMHO the only thing worth worrying about the warranty on is a reg. And Zeagle's been making Rangers for a long time, if it all works when you get it, it will probably continue to do so for awhile.

I am considering getting a Stiletto online. But I'll still take it into my local LDS for service.

Do a web search for the best price you can find, then take that price to Scuba Toys.

Direct Diver:
Divers Direct will price match them with full warrenty, give them a call at 1800-DIVE-USA.

Divers Direct matched Leisure Pro for me on the Ranger LTD last week. Also gave me a 10% of the price difference discount on top of the match. With shipping it was less than LP had advertised. The folks at DD rock!
