Well that is next October is it not
Well some people would write this October with next October being the following year. Just maybe after living in a non English speaking country since 1988 maybe my English language skills have deteriorated.
Could be interpreted either way I guess.
How about "this coming October"
However if I was to refer to "October next year" I would be more specific and probably and say "October 2023"
Anyway it's October 2022
