Getting open water certification in Semporna
Hi guys,

I'm living in South Korea and have found some really cheap flights to get to Sabah, Borneo.
I have been considering getting my open water certification for some time now.
My only diving experience was in El Nido Philippines a year back, and I promised myself I would go again.

Anyways, it takes quite some time for me to venture out to Semporna.
I know that I would be unable to dive Sipidan, and I'm wondering if it's worth travelling out all that way for the other dives? Are they worth the trip.

I'll alternatively travel to somewhere closer where I can enjoy beaches etc and diving, or head to Borneo and do a land tour.

So what do you guys think? Is it worth travelling out there if I can't see Sipidan?

Thanks so much for any input in advance.
