A fellow Parry Sound diver eh?

I wonder if you have went down diving at the Salt Docks?

Thats where I did my certification dive and it was semi interesting see all that junk that people have thrown in the water. I plan on doing some free diving in the summer. Its only 20-30 ft.

Yep, we did almost the entire course there. Except for the first day, that we did on the back side of the old town beach. Did Cam join your group for the course? He joined ours as the dive master, hillarious guy. When we did our final dive at the salt docks, we went along the front where all the crap is. Cam found a BMX bike down there, and took it for a ride... Ahhh, I wish I had my camera during the course, it was a riot. I also found a very nice necklace for my fiancee and almost $10 in coins on that dive. We'll have to head down there for a dive in the spring.

I was by Collingwood, Canada (Blue Mountain) for NYE/Snowboarding/xcountry skiing/ skiing and I saw a dive shop.

Recently? I'm not aware of a dive shop in Collingwood. Nearest I'm aware of is about 45 minutes away. You didn't catch the name by chance?

Checked Amazon.ca & Chapters.ca for the book 'The Great Lakes Diving Guide' Amazon says they want $172 for it... ack!Thats worse than some of my programming books... And Chapters is 'out of stock'. Anyone with a better source?
Geesh I'll sell you one brand new for $100. LOL just kidding. If you can't find one I'll gladly get one for you. I think there around $30 dollars US. Maybe less. In march Chris Kohl will be out here for the Boston Sea Rovers Show (This year will be the 54th time it's been held) I'll even send you a autoghraphed copy. You'll Love Tobermory it's a great Underwater Park. Alot more places should follow the example of Michigan and Ontario.

The book is now in the mail, and I can't wait till it gets here!

Now I just need to meet some more people to go diving with.:14:

Hi all,
I love diving, and seeing shipwrecks, but I'd like to see some that are a little more intact. Where can I dive in Ontario to see some more intact ships? I may be doing the Advanced Open Water course this summer, but likely I will wait till next summer, when my skills have solidified some more; I'm not in any great hurry.

Thanks in advance.

Check out this guy's store, it has some okay videos...of the Wrecks in your neck of the woods...:D
