Hey Folks,

I am looking for some new shore dives in Ontario. Does any one have any ideas? I am getting tired of the Monarch & docks in Sarnia.

Are you a good swimmer? The Arabia is only about three miles from Tobermory Harbour!

Seriously though, there is some nice wall dives in Tobermory (100' +) off Trails End Lodge and the Lighthouse. Shallow wrecks like the Tugs and Sweepstakes are accessible as well. (Watch the schedule on the Sweeps....)

I came across some guys swimming BACK from the Wetmore years ago. I radioed the Park folks and they came and picked them up, so that's another approach... :)

hanks for the info; I am willing to drive 4-5 hours for a dive. I live in the balmy south (Windsor). I have done the wall at Bon Echo as well as Prescott. What I really enjoy is scrounge diving. I found a great place off an Indian reservation, lots of old bottles (1940's) and such but when I can up the reservation cops told me I was not welcome to dive there. (It was a park.) By the way, I am psweet; I just forgot my login while I was at work so I crested a new one. I will give Toby a try.

Thanks for the info. I have some time off in a few weeks (July 17-25) so maybe I will head up there in give it a try, maybe even try to talk my wife in to trying to dive the falls. (Just kidding)

Hi, I'm a new diver, so the only time I was in Bon Echo, I was leading the climbs straight up, how was it going down, the water as I recall is supposed to be pretty deep, did you see any lake trout?

It was pretty dark water and not much to see. The lake is 450' at the base of the cliff where the (2) lakes meet. It get pretty cold & dark around 60'. The walls are covered with fool's gold. I can't recall any fish.
