That was my feeling.. the guy had his c-card from a major agency, but the poster sounded more than willing to sell him a refresher class before he would fill his tank..pt40fathoms:OK, everyone who thinks this is a little over the top raise your hands...![]()
sb_diver:I don't see a big problem with doing classes online. Eventually the diver is going to have to come into the shop and interact with the instructor. If I were to design an online course,I'd do what another poster said have short tests at the end of each section and the students can't continue till they get it perfect. Each time the questions change a little so its not the same question over and over.
Also in the end since the student will have to come in at least a few times to do the in pool training, have an in class exam then. That way it is closed book and that would guage the student's knowledge. If you can learn the same concepts on the computer that you can listening to someone ramble on in a class room than I don't see a problem.
