Greetings fellow dive/snorkeling enthusiasts,

Happy Holidays!

I'm looking to buy a scuba/snorkeling mask for my girlfriend. She has some vision problems with a lazy eye. As a result, the multi-window masks are uncomfortable for her as she will only be able to see clearly with one eye.

Do any manufacturers make a full face mask anymore - without windows or the nose bridge?

From a previous post, someone recommended the Tusa Visulator mask. That mask looks nice but it still has the nose bridge. Ideally, I'm looking for an old style mask which has the full oval glass without a nose bridge and without individual windows for separate eyes.

We have several old masks like this but the silicon has rotted/torn. Do any companies make replacement silicon/rubber for old masks?

Thanks for any & all suggestions!

You can also get a frameless mask. They are extremely comfortable too....we have a couple on our site by Oceanic and Sherwood :D

I own a frameless because when I dive, I get the squeeze real bad and often....with a frameless....no squeeze

here are some that I have, although there are many options out there

Have a great new year!!

I went from a Tusa Viewtrek (two windows) to an Atomic Aquatics Frameless. It has a single window, and the glass is superclear technology, not green glass. I am also extremely happy with the skirt, it is more flexible and conforms to my face better, no leaks!

I have the Atomic Frameless and Love it!
I haven't tried the others mentioned above.
One thing I have found with my frameless mask is that clearing the mask is not easy if you just push in on the top of the mask...
No big deal, I've gotten used to grabbing the mask and tilting it so that some of the pressure is relieved from the bottom of the skirt.

many manufactures make the single lense mask, Scubapro has a nice frameless. I have a genisis single linse. Most shops have a mix so best would just be to take her there to try them on. Good luck to ya

Look at the aeris and XS scuba masks. They both have a couple of masks that will fit your needs pretty well.
