We are so proud to announce Explorer Ventures Fleet’s newest addition: the M/V Majestic Explorer in the Galapagos Islands! With recent approval and permit from the National Park Foundation, the Majestic Explorer will join the Humboldt Explorer in the Galapagos Islands starting in August 2018.

The vessel's name, Majestic Explorer, simply says it all! This very unique, spacious, and elegant vessel will offer our guests a luxurious scuba liveaboard experience in the most diverse scuba diving destination in the world. Guests will have the added advantage of enjoying a newer vessel, as well as 30% larger cabins. Like her sister ship the Humboldt Explorer, all cabins offer private ensuite bath and showers, queen or side-by-side twin beds, as well as impressive window ocean views.

The Majestic Explorer's itinerary starts in Baltra and travels to Cabo Douglas to see the Marine Iguanas, Punta Vicente Roca to dive with the Mola Mola, Wolf & Darwin Islands to dive with a variety of sharks including Hammerheads, Whale Sharks and Galapagos Sharks. The journey of a lifetime will end at Cousin’s Rock where divers will experience great macro opportunities before returning to Baltra.

Experience your Galapagos liveaboard adventure in style aboard the Majestic Explorer!

Looks rather upscale! If I judge rightly from your web site, the Majestic costs around $800 more than the Humboldt? What are the major added benefits for the extra cash?

Richard.

You're on it, Richard!
This is a newer vessel with 30% larger cabins and overall very spacious (longer and wider). There are more main deck cabins to choose from. It does have a luxurious feel to it as well! The itinerary is slightly different as it will take guests to Cabo Douglas to see the Marine Iguanas, which is a cool added feature.

The boat looks spectacular. I was at the Toronto Outdoor Adventure Show yesterday and was speaking to the person at the Explorer Ventures Fleet booth. Its too bad you weren't there. It would have been nice to say "Hi".

What, no pictures of the dive deck?
That's a great question, Akimbo! But there's an even better answer - the dive deck hasn't been built yet! The vessel will be in dry dock undergoing improvements before the August 2018 sailing date. As more images become available, we will send them along. If you haven't already done so, it will be a good idea to sign up for the EV Newsletter on our website.
