Be patient. Given that the NSSCDS Accident Advisory Committee has released 3 reports so far since being re-activated last May, and that this incident happened on NSSCDS property, I think it's a safe bet you'll see a report within the next few months.

Personally I am glad the rumor mill has stayed quiet. I think a lot of that can be contributed to the NSSCDS issuing the reports in a timely manner. There is no reason to speculate now as the information will be made available once complete. They are doing a great job getting these reports out which are a valuable tool for the entire diving community.

While I think quicker release of the recovery report will help tamp down speculation.

I am glad to see the accident committee putting out reports.

You can have five people see the same car crash and they will give you different stories of what they saw. It takes some time to build the reports correctly.

Yeah exactly, in criminal cases eyewitness testimony is considered one of the least reliable sources of information. Even for accidents when there's no incentive to deceive people don't always see similarly, our brains are not video cameras. Dispassionately sifting through what apparently happened is hard work and not always obvious.

He was gone before you could go hypoxic on air or Hyperoxic on oxygen. He had been diving for the better part of a week with just a hud.

The major contributing factors were IPE and not having a breathable source of gas easily available.

A very unfortunate outcome that seems avoidable based on the analysis. Reinforces some personal learnings about having a necklaced regulator, a BOV, or a combination of the two.
