My wife and 11 year old son are in the process of getting scuba certified. I have been diving for years and we are looking for a good dive operator that is good with new divers. Any suggestions for dive sites and operators? We have only one day in St Thomas and are looking at a two tank dive trip. Any suggestions?

There is a dive shop in the shopping center right by the pier, when I think of the name I will post it. Underwater Safaris

I was on a Royal Caribbean cruise last year and I dove with Underwater Safaris, which is who Royal Carribean contracts for dive excursions. I didn't have any problems with them. If I remember correctly there were about 9 of us on the boat. I can't comment on whether they are "good with new divers" as I didn't see anything that would tell me one way or the other. The fact that all 9 of us returned is a good sign though right? :) They also let us use the shop's rinse buckets for our gear

They do have a website http://www.diveusvi.com/home2.htm but it is pretty annoying
