I'm going to a conference in Orlando the first week in October. I have an extra day and would love to do a dive. Does anyone have a recommendation for an operator who could guide a dive in the Orlando vicinity. Any Ideas would be appreciated. I'm 71 years old and a conservative but avid diver.

Thanks in advance for Ideas.

"a dive in the Orlando vicinity"

1.) Check out a map of Florida.

2.) Book the Epcot dive.

Keep in mind that you will have to wait 18 to 24 hours after diving before you can fly.

I didn't know about the Epcot center dive. It sounds like just what I'm looking for.
Kathy, Thanks for the reminder about the surface interval between diving and flying but I think I have that schedule worked out.
I knew there must be something I could do in Orlando. I know it's a long ways from the ocean but not as far as being in Western Montana.

Thanks again for the idea.

Don't bother hauling your own gear either...
All diving equipment is provided. Personal diving equipment is not permitted, though you may bring your own dive mask. Please bring a swimsuit.

I've never done the Epcot dive but I'm guessing you need to bring your C Card, too.

I would like to do the Epcot dive, we dived the Coral Reef Tank in the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago once and it was a lot of fun!

C-Card, Mask, Bathing suit. It's a GREAT dive. Don't forget to wave to the kids on the other side of the glass!

Make sure to call and book with them early. Dive shops in FL book trips out there and so the dives fill up well in advance.

Do they let you bring a lycra skin to help stay warm? It's made out of the same material as a bathing suit.

I believe you have to wear their wetsuit and gear. You can wear your bathing suit underneath. Cleanliness for the aquarium critters.
