Things like this are just pathetic. Wouldnt they rather have the 56 sharks alive, rather than just another fact that we know?

One of my favorite quotes is by Gandhi, and it goes like this:
“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated”
I think wild animals count in this point.
 
How about the really old and outdated (it seems) CATCH AND RELEASE. Take measurements pictures then release. Local fishing tournaments have the rule...If it's dead you are disqualified. Maybe they should add that. A fish that size might even have gained pounds being alive. That should put a bitter taste in fisher's minds.
