That is a MONSTER!! That must of been on hell of a fight! How long did it take to land that sucker?

It seemed like forever but probably was closer to 20-25 minutes to pull it up from 300 feet... and I DID have help! We were in the beautiful Queen Charlotte Islands in British Columbia... what a gorgeous area!

Since I had never caught a halibut before, the guide told me to keep its head under the water while he harpooned it... when I asked why, he said, "because it really makes them mad, when you pull their heads out of the water, and he will start fighting harder"! Doh!
