A dive site called Magic Point, it's on the Southern end of Maroubra beach, about 10 minutes drive form my home (Coogee Beach).

awesome pix, zee! wish i can get that close to them... much less see one shark here... they weren't afraid of you?

nice pics z, i can say thanks to the great philippines i got to have the same type of thrill -experience, while i was there in PG paul took me to the shark cave and i got to dive and photograph 3 white tip reef sharks, my very first warm water diving and the first time with or seeing sharks, they wernt as big as i was told, but i think the mother was maybe 7-8 feet and the babies 5 ft ??? i was told they were mother 12-14 and babies 6-8 ft and well...... i found out differant latter, after being laughed at,lol, i didnt know i was way to excited to even notice the legth in ft lol, again great shots and neat experience!!

iris - Nope, they weren't afraid - if they get scared the swim away :) There were a few of them coming right up to us, I took a bit of video as well, I'll chop it up a bit and post it too later today. they were literally coming within inches of us.

Jim ernst - I saw a white tip on my first ever dive about 10 years ago (intro dive) it was an amazing experience, and I've been lucky enough to see lots of white tips in my diving. I find I'm very lucky with sharks, my strike rate is about 70%, it's actually rare for me not to see some sort of shark, but to get as close as I did yesterday to so many, now that is something :D
