My new divemobile is scheduled to be picked up mid to late next week by yours truly.

It has 4WD and lots of room without being oversized which is in stark contrast to the old Diverbrian Divemobile. Oh yes, and it is a 2006 model.

Final financing hurdles were cleared this morning, so it is as good as mine.

This is good news! Especially after hearing about your problems in Chicago!

Actually, my car never made it to Chicago for those adventures. I didn't trust the temporary beater that I will be driving for a few more days that far.

I may be back next year working with a web site/dive travel business that I have some affiliation with. So, I may be working that show next year. That is up to the business owner. If I am, you can bet that I will be taking the newer vehicle back over there and letting people ride with me if they want to go. The EPA rated mileage is in the 28/22 mpg range, so it is reasonable on gas and has room for five adults or two tech divers (w/ accompanying gear, LOL).

The people that know me and know how cheap that I typically am with vehicles will likely be suprised that I actually invested more more money in my transport than my dive gear this year. As long as I had to replace the venerable Mustang (which had the advantage of being PAID OFF), I figured I might as well get something that will last me a few years after I pay the thing off and that the insurance company won't be so happy to total over a front end collision in a few years. Yep, someone made a left turn in front of the Mustang back in late December. I have been waiting what seems like many moons for the replacement.

I know but I'm not telling!!! :)

Actually, one or two people helped me pick the model. It took two weeks of hunting and research back in January to get me to a dealer and then I found something completely different than what I did the research on. The one that I saw at the dealer was the vehicle that I wound up buying. I am saving the suprise for Meet and Greet unless someone happens to be around when I am working the class at Gilboa next weekend.

After that, all of us will know.

Jep., you photo must be hiding on me. I posted a couple with you in them. I don't seem to have a copy of the one that you are talking about. I will take another look. Are you sure that another person with a camera didn't take that one?

So you're not telling us that wont be at the Meet and Greet?

I guess what I am saying is that unless you run into me before Meet and Greet, I am saving something for people to find out there. But, I will be at Gilboa the next two weekends. I am working a class this weekend and I'll be down for Meet and Greet from the morning of the 28th to the afternoon of the 30th. And yep, I'll have the car before the end of this week.
