Just bought my first gun which I think is a 21" JBL band gun because of the size of fish and limited vis up up here in the Hills. I will be hunting Walleye, Bass, Carp, Trout, ect and am curious about how big of a fish can this gun handle since some of the Carp run in excess of 30lbs.

I have been using the same gun but a longer version around 26-27" and that is more than enough for what we shoot.

Any thoughts please pipe in.

It's all about shot placement, not the size of your gun. Just like your 21" gun will kill a 30 pounder as well as a 42" in gun. If you don't hit the fish correctly with either gun, it really doesn't matter.

Congrats on your first gun, practice often and work on your stalking and shot placement and you will take home fish.
