Has anyone ever used an OMS wing? I used to see them a lot a few years ago but not anymore. Hard to find a dealer. Is that company still around? Can anyone who has actually used them / sold them give a feedback on the quality? Thanks.

Many years ago they were the go to wing and gear for tech diving. Pretty good quality and offered things hard to find anywhere else.......they were in limbo for a few years until recently when DUI bought them. So you can now find their stuff online (DGX sells some). Not really pushing the design envelope but who knows with DUI behind them. Yes, I had lots of OMS gear, solid and bullet proof.

I have been using one for nearly 8yrs. Good quality and never have any issue with it. But the corrugated hose is far long and I replaced it with a much shorter one.
Some of my buddies are also using one and yet to hear any complaint.
Ignore what was being said in one of the teaching manual that you might have come across!!!

Doc Deep used one.

Doc Deep used one.

Was it the same one that he went to 850ft(?) previously.
Anyway, the late John Bennett definitely used one to go beyond 1000' not too long ago(2001).
Mark Ellyatt also used one and reached 313m in 2003.

I have a basically new 45lb doubles wing that I really like, just almost never use with sidemount and using my DSS 38lb wing more since it fits my baby doubles better. It's a high quality wing, on par with that of DSS, Oxycheq etc. but no idea about any of the new ones since I don't know who their supplier is.
