Hi all,
Does anyone know if the bulb for OMS's 10W HID cannister light is available through a third party? OMS list the bulb at $142. I'm sure someone else actually manufactured the bulb (Other Manufacturer's Stuff), so I'm wondering if anyone knows where to get one cheaper. Thanks.

It's a Welsh Allen lamp. I have one that came on the old skewl 10W Phantom with the NiMH batteries and white PVC case- it has M10P001 on the side. It's $126 on the Welsh Allen website.

Dive Rite Express has a bulb that I believe is the same LT6503- HID 10W 6 degrees for $139, but I think you get free shipping.

I sent my lamp in for service and I paid $98.50 for a new switch and a new lamp, but I don't think my LDS marked up the price cuz they like me. :D

Here's the place to get the bulb. Single Halogen MR11 at Trail Tech Home. Just ask for a replacement bulb for this light and I'm guessing it will be about $30. I have an OMS light as well, but most of the 10W lights take this bulb. I've not found a more reasonable price for HID parts - you may just want to buy the whole light and then you'll have a spare ballast as well. Make sure you ask for the spot beam and not the flood.

Check your link- that's a 35W halogen bulb!

Thanks. I have the older style, with the white pvc cannister. Hopefully they are the same. I still may be able to get it less at my LDS since I get a staff discount. I'm just surprised that there isn't a more significant savings out there somewhere.
