Anyone have any experience with the bungee version? Is this a good wing? Any comments about it? Looking for a BC and thinking about going wing.

Scottyroz I have an oms dual blatter bungee wing. This wing is made for deep tech diving. I think most new divers want to buy a wing that they can use for all types of diving. My though is you should have the right grear for the type of diving your doing. I have three different air cells and a standard BC. My oms is my only bongee aircell. I think its a great wing but i dont use it unless ive diving double 120's with so much gear that even with out a weight belt im very negitive. If im diving cold water with a drysuit it not much of a concern, but when im diving wet in deep water a dual blatter is the way to go.

D5CDiver...are you doing deep tech dives with heavy steel tanks while wearing a wetsuit?

Technical deep diving or decompression diving , i dive dry.

Admittedly, I'm sort of a newbie. But I have an OMS single bladder 45# bugee and I like it. Some misconceptions: it isn't hard to orally inflate. Perhaps a little harder than a non-bungee? But far from difficult. It does seem to trap a little air in a fold of the bladder at times (when you're trying to vent air from the wing). I don't think it would be able to trap a dangerous amount -- just a little. To fix this, I just lean in the other direction. I've read the posts about excess drag, etc. I'm not quite sure what I believe. It does make sense that a smooth wing would have less drag than one that is bunched up (with the bungee), but it is nice that the bungees keep the profile smaller. I've seen the halycon wings and they look a little nicer (I like the design better), but I'm still happy.
