I just ordered a new bp/w from Scubatoys (Great deal, thanks ST):luxhello:. I ordered the OMS bp because it mounts the zeagle weight pouches that I want. I wanted the 30# machv because it seems like about the best wing out there for singles. I will use a Hog style harness and Oxy cam bands.

Has anyone used this particular setup (the bp & wing anyway)? I want to try the no sta approach first, but I want to make sure everything will mate up well.

Thanks for the help.

You should be happy with that setup - it is rock solid. I have not used the OMS plate, but have used a mach v and it is a rock solid wing. You should be very happy with it!

I use an OMS plate, a Mach V with an Oxycheq STA. Works fine.

I have dove the newer Mach V with and without a STA - I prefer the STA not only for stability but ease of changing tanks and to doubles. It is all personal preference however - so try it out without an STA and see how you like it - it might work just fine for you!

No, I have never tried it without an STA. I have an early version Mach V without the cam band slots.

Thanks Pickled...I'd love to hear from someone who had used the machv with the oms plate & no sta. I am sure it will work great, just like to get a first hand impression.:biggrin2:
