Ominous Message From Nautilus Liveaboards (based out of Cabo)

While looking to see what trips were open and available for this summer. I saw this messages splashed a top their site :

"On Tuesday, May 24th, Nautilus will be issuing a statement on certain actions that the Mexican government is taking and their effects on our activities. Time is needed to confirm those actions and brief with counsel"

Anyone have any idea what this could be regarding? Maybe the Socorro sinking? I know it wasnt their boat but could it effect other boats / trips?

I don’t have any details, but believe this involves Guadalupe not Socorro.

On Nautilus site today…

Guadalupe national park season opens every year on July 1. The corrupted former previous park director worked for a special interest group to delay the opening of the white shark season. Nautilus, the other boat operators and other parties are in court to prevent this and we expect to have positive resolution by June 14, 2022. We will announce updates as they become available.

What’s the purpose for delaying the opening of the whishark season, I wonder?
